7th ACS International Cooperation Conference a Success in Guatemala on May 8th, 2023
The seventh iteration of the ACS International Cooperation Conference (ACS) has concluded Antigua, Guatemala, kicking off a week of highly anticipated meetings that will culminate in the 9th Summit of ACS Head of States and/or Government Agenda on May 12th, 2023. The conference, themed “A Decisive Step in the Consolidation of Building of Bridges for the Comprehensive Unification of the Greater Caribbean Region” was presided over by President of the Ministerial Council of the ACS, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Guatemala, His Excellency Mario Búcaro Flores and was attended by delegates representing several countries, cooperation agencies and companies as well as international and regional organisations.

The Cooperation Catalogue of the Association of Caribbean States
The Catalogue presents in total twenty (20) best practices offered by Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Honduras, Mexico and Panama, presented by country and in alignment with the SDG’s. As illustrated, the Catalogue covers a very wide range of thematic areas, diversifying the cooperation offered, and enhancing its scope.

ACS hands over drones to the Institute of Marine Affairs (IMA)
ACS Secretary General, Rodolfo Sabonge, officially handed over to the Institute of Marine Affairs (IMA) Corporate Secretary, Cyril Best, drones that will be used to monitor coastal areas, which contributes to the collection of data on land degradation as part of the Sandy Shorelines project being implemented in conjunction with the Korean Cooperation Agency (KOICA).

ACS Supports Small business development through IDB Regional Public Goods Initiative
The Association of Caribbean States (ACS) has been awarded $720,000 by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) under the regional public goods programme (RPG) to execute an MSME development and competitiveness project over the next three years. The project is geared towards strengthening MSMEs and value chains in the agribusiness, community-based tourism and creative industries.

World Meteorological Day 2023: The Future of Weather, Climate and Water across Generations
The Association of Caribbean States (ACS) joins the global community in commemorating World Meteorological Day 2023 under the theme, “The Future of Weather, Climate and Water across Generations”. The theme highlights the achievements of the past, the progress of the present and the potential of the future. It explores the development of hydrological and meteorological technology- from telegraphs and shipping forecasts in the 19th century to supercomputers and space technology in the 20th century.
