ACS Expresses Solidarity & Extends Condolences to Haiti

The ACS expresses its solidarity and extends its condolences to the People and Government of Haiti following the devastating earthquake and aftershocks which impacted that ACS Member State on 14th August 2021.

The Association of Caribbean States joins the Greater Caribbean Region and the world in mourning the loss of life and property suffered as a result of the earthquake measuring 7.2. We are gratified by the efforts of ACS Member States, Associate Members, Observers and relevant specialised organisations already underway to assist in the rescue efforts and provide humanitarian aid to our Haitian brothers at this critical time.

The ACS trusts, that as in the past, the resilience of the Haitian People will help them overcome this terrible tragedy and the coming challenges and that further support and assistance from neighbours and well-wishers, amongst them the Membership of the ACS, will continue to be forthcoming as needed.
