Promote and foster International Trade Negotiations and Training in trade issues
The spaghetti bowl of IIAs
One instrument that supports cooperation and mutual understanding in the Greater Caribbean is the exchange of expertise and ideas among negotiators in the Region through pertinent activities related to specific trade issues. In this way, the work undertaken by countries and/or sub-regional Secretariats on issues is complemented and this, in turn, strengthens the role of the ACS as a unifying body among the sub-regions, giving impetus to issues associated with development and integration as a means of eradicating poverty and achieving the millennium goals.
