ACS meets with the Working Party on Latin America and the Caribbean States (COLAC)

ACS Secretary General, Rodolfo Sabonge, Director of Disaster Risk Reduction, Environment and Caribbean Sea, Ana Leticia Ramirez, and Consultant from the Office of the Political Adviser, Tricia Barrow, met with a Delegation from the Council of the European Union's Working Group on Latin America and the Caribbean (COLAC) at the Secretariat's headquarters.
The COLAC Delegation was led by Mr. Tomás Reyes Ortega, Chairman of the Working Group on Latin America and the Caribbean of the Council of the European Union, and included representatives from the Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Slovenia and Spain. The COLAC Delegation was accompanied by His Excellency Peter Cavendish, Ambassador of the Delegation of the European Union to Trinidad and Tobago.
This historic visit represented an opportunity to strengthen ties between the ACS and its observer member, the European Union, as it was a platform for a lively exchange on the role and comparative advantage of the ACS in the region in terms of development cooperation.
Secretary General Sabonge also shared with the delegation the vision of the Association, explained the focal areas of the organisation and presented the projects currently being developed and implemented by the ACS.
