ACS & Turkey Cooperation Agency Discuss Collaboration

The ACS met with the Turkish International Cooperation Agency (TIKA) to discuss capacity building activities in the tourism sector. Both the ACS and TIKA are committed to achieving results in developing another successful partnership for the benefit of the tourism sector, severely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
This morning we (DCRM and DTSD) had a meeting with TIKA (Turkish International Cooperation Agency) to discuss the possibility of capacity building activities in the sector of tourism for the ACS membership. We are at an early stage of engagement but there seems to be a determined will to achieve results on both sides. Turkey has been an Observer of the ACS since 2000 and in recent years, has keenly collaborated on flagship ACS projects including funding the Regional Network of Artisans in Tourism of the Greater Caribbean and contributing to the Sandy Shorelines coastal erosion project.
