Association of Caribbean States and Mariel Special Development Zone meet on economic growth

In the framework of the Havana 2023 International Fair, Secretary General of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS), Rodolfo Sabonge, met with the Director General of the Mariel Special Development Zone (ZED), Ana Teresa Igarza Martínez.
During the meeting, the business model of the ZED Mariel, which comprises 21 countries and is a first-class production and logistics platform that seeks to facilitate a higher level of production in Cuba while reducing import costs, boosting growth, creating jobs and facilitating foreign direct investment, was explored in depth.
Another central point of the meeting was the analysis of the functioning of the Single Window of the ZED Mariel, which has been established as a crucial component to facilitate and streamline processes related to investment and trade in the Zone.
