Japan & ACS Discuss Cooperation and Technology

Secretary General Rodolfo Sabonge and Japanese Ambassador to Trinidad and Tobago Tatsuo Hirayama met in Port-of-Spain and endeavoured to continue nurturing the good relationship between the ACS and Japan.

Ambassador Hirayama said “We are quite open to continuing the dialogue and cooperation with your Association.”

SG Sabonge said that Japan’s prominence in maritime activities, technology and energy efficiency could be potential areas of engagement with Japan.

They both discussed the impact of COVID-19 on global travel and interaction and Ambassador Hirayama said that Japan is doing all possible to ensure that the Tokyo Olympic Games take place safely in 2021.
