Secretary General of the ACS will promote Sustainable Development during Eco-tourism and Production Fair.
H.E. Alfonso Múnera, Secretary General of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS) will represent the Association at the 1st World Eco-tourism and Production Fair in the city of Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic. This initiative which is coordinated by His Excellency José Serulle Ramia, Ambassador of the Dominican Republic in Trinidad and Tobago, will showcase the country’s eco-tourism offers during the period 18th- 26th October, 2014.
This Fair which seeks to support local development, encompasses the fundamental goal of the ACS; promoting the Sustainable Development of the Greater Caribbean. H.E. Múnera will therefore participate in the official activities of the Fair including attending meetings, visits and facilitating exchanges with business and industry leaders from the host city.
Additionally, H.E Múnera will add to the panel of contributors who are expected to deliver remarks during the opening ceremony on October 18th. He will also participate in a conference on 19th October in the Salon Amazonas to discuss and examine cultural diversity in the Greater Caribbean. The Ambassador will further address the role of the ACS and the contributions made by the Association to tourism and environmental sustainability on 20th October.
