Trinidad and Tobago commemorates its 62nd year of independence

On the occasion of Trinidad and Tobago's 62nd Independence Day, the Association of Caribbean States (ACS) extends its warmest congratulations to the Government and people of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.
Trinidad and Tobago, a nation renowned for its cultural diversity, resilience, and progress, has charted a remarkable path since gaining independence, making significant contributions both regionally and internationally. The ACS acknowledges and appreciates Trinidad and Tobago's central role in fostering regional integration and cooperation, which has greatly advanced the shared goals of the ACS member states.
The ACS is particularly honoured to have its headquarters located in Trinidad and Tobago, a symbol of the strong partnership and shared vision for a more connected and prosperous Greater Caribbean. The bond between the ACS and the Government of Trinidad and Tobago has grown even stronger since the signing of the agreement in 1997, and together, they have made significant strides in promoting sustainable development across the region.
As Trinidad and Tobago celebrates this important day, the ACS reaffirms its commitment to working alongside the Government and people of Trinidad and Tobago to further their mutual aspirations for peace, prosperity, and a brighter future for all in the Greater Caribbean.
