The Venezuelan Institute for Culture and Cooperation (IVCC) celebrated its 60th anniversary

The Venezuelan Institute for Culture and Cooperation (IVCC) celebrated its 60th anniversary this year. The IVCC has taught Spanish and other languages to over 50,000 Trinbagonians in the past 60 years, including ministers and other prominent figures. The Institute has also contributed to the development of Trinidad and Tobago in strategic areas such as tourism, education, trade, and aviation. Also, the IVCC has taught all ministries of TT, the Coast Guard, and given secondary schools VCR tapes of cultural programs and news from Venezuelan TV stations.
The IVCC is a strategic bilateral relationship between Venezuela and Trinidad and Tobago. People-to-people diplomacy and Bolivarian peace diplomacy were facilitated by the celebration. Former Trinidad and Tobago foreign minister Winston Dookeran commended the IVCC for its contribution to fostering better conduct between the two nations.
