ACS and EMUNI Discuss Talent and Project Collaboration

The ACS Secretary General, H.E. Rodolfo Sabonge, met with Prof. Mounir Ghribi, Director of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence on Sustainable Blue Economy (CoE-SUBE) and Head of the R&D Projects and Innovation Department at EMUNI University, during the Latin America and Caribbean Days on November 20-21, 2024, in Slovenia.
During their discussion, they explored opportunities for fostering stronger collaboration between EMUNI University and Caribbean countries. They explored the mutual benefits of enhancing academic partnerships, focusing on attracting students, facilitating professor exchanges, and promoting the circulation of talent, including early career scientists across regions. They also evaluated avenues for joint participation in project calls, particularly on topics related to ocean diplomacy and the sustainable blue economy.
The ACS remains committed to fostering international cooperation that benefits its Member States and Associate Members. This meeting represents a promising step forward in bridging expertise and promoting collaboration between Europe and the Caribbean.
