La Asociación de Estados del Caribe felicita a la República de Surinam por su 46º aniversario como nación independiente.
Conocido por su increíble diversidad étnica, Surinam obtuvo su independencia de los Países Bajos el 25 de noviembre de 1975.
Surinam es un Miembro fundador de la AEC y actualmente se desempeña como Relator del Comité Especial de Turismo Sustentable
