The 2nd Antalya Diplomatic Forum, organised by Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, was held in Antalya with the theme ''Recoding Diplomacy'' under the auspices of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan between 11-13 March 2022.

Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu delivered the opening speech and stated that the Antalya Diplomatic Forum offered an intellectual environment not only for Turkish diplomacy, but also for regional and global diplomacy.

Secretary General Rodolfo Sabonge held a bilateral meeting with Minister Çavuşoğlu, in which the Republic of Turkey, a valued ACS observer member, renewed its commitment to co-operate with the Association. The Secretary General also held a bilateral meeting with Felix Plasencia, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela.

The high attendance at this forum allowed the SG to meet with Elvis Alam Lora, Ambassador of the Dominican Republic to the Republic of Turkey; Jairo Estrada, Ambassador of Guatemala to the Republic of Turkey; Bilal Bilici, Honorary Consul of Guatemala to the Republic of Turkey and Mariela Sagel, Ambassador of Panama to the Republic of Turkey.

He also met with Mansour Abdallah, Ambassador of Lebanon to Turkey; Jonathan Tow, Ambassador of Singapore to Turkey; Ramis Şen, Senior Advisor to the United Nations and the Director of the Centre for Latin American Studies at Ankara University, Mehmet Necati Kutlu.

At this forum the SG was part of the panel "Reactivating dynamism in Latin America and the Caribbean" and was also interviewed by the state news agency Anadolu, where he referred to the importance of diplomacy for international cooperation.
