ACS Inaugural Cooperation Conference Documents
The Inaugural Cooperation Conference of The Association of Caribbean States attracted over 100 interested countries, development agencies and International Organizations to Havana, Cuba to discuss collaboration opportunities and synergies in regional cooperation.
This Inaugural Cooperation Conference focused on two of the Association’s pillars of work: Climate Change and Transport. The presentation of ACS projects in these two key areas, along with updates on the wider work of the Association, sparked interest in deeper and more meaningful collaboration from Member States and International Organizations.
This gathering of such a wide variety of development practitioners and states offered a unique opportunity for regional stakeholders to discuss their work, reduce duplication in efforts, and seek multilateral cooperation. In times of limited resources, and for smaller member states of the Association, the conference played a critical role in bringing all relevant parties to the same cooperative table.
Based on the positive feedback from attendees, the Cooperation Conference is set to become a regular event in the Association’s calendar.
