ACS and British Virgin Islands Discuss Regional Initiatives

Santiago, Chile – April 2, 2025 –  While attending the Forum of the Countries of Latin America and the Caribbean on Sustainable Development in Chile, the Secretary-General of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS) met with Benito Wheatley, Special Envoy of the Premier of the British Virgin Islands (BVI), to discuss areas of mutual interest and potential collaboration.

Key topics during the meeting included preparations for the upcoming ACS Summit, the role of Associate Members within the ACS, and the ACS's broader role in supporting its membership and the wider Caribbean region.

The parties explored opportunities for collaboration on tourism initiatives and language development programs. They also discussed the ACS's strategic planning process and the potential for convening a meeting with ACS Associate Members to enhance partnerships and address common goals.
