The Association of Caribbean States Welcomes Prime Minister The Honourable Stuart Young, SC

The Association of Caribbean States (ACS) extends its congratulations to the newly sworn-in Prime Minister of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, The Honourable Stuart Young, SC. The ACS expresses confidence that the Prime Minister's leadership will usher in a new era of unity and collaboration within the nation, and also with international organizations like the ACS, building on the accomplishments of the esteemed predecessor.

The Prime Minister's extensive experience across various sectors, including national security, legal affairs, and energy, has been instrumental in shaping Trinidad and Tobago’s development. The ACS anticipates that the Prime Minister's tenure will further strengthen the nation’s position within the regional and global arenas.

The ACS values Trinidad and Tobago's active participation and commitment to fostering cooperation among Caribbean states, especially in its capacity as host country to the valued Association, which this year celebrates 30 years since its establishment. The ACS looks forward to welcoming the Prime Minister at the 10th ACS Summit in Cartagena, Colombia on 30th May 2025 and to continuing collaboration under the Prime Minister's leadership to address common challenges and seize opportunities for sustainable development in the region.
