Caribbean Sea Sub-Commissions Meet

For the first time the Legal and the Scientific + Technical Sub Commissions of the Caribbean Sea Commission (CSC) are meeting to discuss matters related to preserving and protecting the Caribbean Sea. The meeting, taking place virtually, will discuss a work plan and preparation for the United Nations report on designating the Caribbean Sea as a special area in the context of sustainable development. 

The CSC was created with the objective of promoting and contributing to the sustainable development of the Caribbean Sea for present and future generations. Specifically, the CSC aims to promote the cooperation and coordination of actions related to the Sustainability of the Caribbean Sea The establishment of the CSC reflects the commitment of the ACS Member States to the projection and preservation of the common patrimony of the Caribbean Sea.
