ACS Congratulates Dominica on 43rd Independence Anniversary

The Association of Caribbean States extends its congratulations to the Government and People of the Commonwealth of Dominica on the country’s 43rd Anniversary as an independent nation.
The island gained independence as a republic in 1978 and is known as "The Nature Island of the Caribbean" due to its lush scenery and varied flora and fauna. Dominica is a founding Member of the ACS and served as Rapporteur of the Special Committee on Trade and External Economic Relations in 2018.
