ACS discuss Maritime Connectivity with Federazione del Mar

During the 11th Italy - Latin America and Caribbean Conference, held on 13 October 2023 in Rome, Italy, the Secretary General Rodolfo Sabonge and the Secretary General of the Federazione del Mare, Laurence Martin held a meeting to discuss the ACS's project to enhance maritime connectivity in the Greater Caribbean. The ACS is committed to strengthening cooperation in order to improve the lives of people in the region. Established in May 1994, the Federazione del Mare represents various Italian maritime organizations, including those involved in training, maritime law, port work, mooring, insurance, and more. The federation aims to unify the representation of Italy's maritime world and highlight its role in development, while emphasizing shared values, culture, and interests. Maritime activities contribute 2% of Italy's GDP, generating goods and services worth €34 billion annually and purchasing €20 billion worth of supplies from other sectors. These activities also provide employment for 530,000 individuals.
