Colombia Celebrates its 214th Independence Anniversary

The Secretariat of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS) is honoured to congratulate the Government and People of Colombia on the commemoration of their independence, achieved on July 20, 1810.
In this regard, the Secretariat would like to express its deep appreciation to Colombia for its exemplary leadership as the Chair of the ACS Ministerial Council. Colombia’s significant role is further highlighted by its historical importance as the country where the Convention Establishing the ACS was signed in 1994 in Cartagena de Indias. This pivotal event marked the beginning of a new era of regional cooperation and integration for the Greater Caribbean.
The Secretariat looks forward to Colombia's continued active participation and invaluable contributions during its chairmanship, as we collectively strive towards our shared vision.
The Secretariat takes this opportunity to reiterate to Colombia the assurances of its highest consideration.
