Identification, Protection, Restoration, and Management of the Greater Caribbean Beaches, 2023 (IPReM Greater Caribbean 2023)

The Caribbean Sea Commission of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS) is pleased to announce the highly-anticipated First Conference on Identification, Protection, Restoration, and Management of the Greater Caribbean Beaches, 2023 (IPReM Greater Caribbean 2023), taking place from June 28th to June 30th, 2023, at the prestigious “Ciudad del Saber” (City of Knowledge), Panama City, Panama.

 

Join us for an unforgettable experience as we bring together stakeholders from across the region to share knowledge, experiences, and best practices for the protection, restoration, and management of Caribbean beaches. With keynote speakers, plenary sessions, and technical and round table discussions on coastal processes and erosion, extreme events and climate change impacts, engineering and nature-based solutions for restoration, and integrated coastal zone management and adaptation, this conference promises to be a platform for exciting new ideas and ground-breaking solutions.

The conference also offers regional scientists the chance to present their research and recommendations on sustainable beach management.

Submissions for conference presentations will be accepted in the following topic areas:

Coastal processes and erosion

Extreme events and climate change impacts

Engineering and nature-based solutions for restoration

Integrated coastal zone management and adaptation.

Please note that if selected to present, funding is available to cover travel and accommodation costs.
