Reconciling Sustainability and Efficiency in Transport Sector

The aim of reconciling sustainability and efficiency within the regional transport sector is within our reach. This was the ethos of the transport experts within the public and private sector of the Greater Caribbean on the second day of the 14th ACS Business Forum of the Greater Caribbean. H.E. Rodolfo Sabonge guided the discussions, where key issues such as shipping line connectivity, cybersecurity and its role in resilient port management, and sustainable efficiency for economic performance were examined for the session’s participants.
Experts also were engaged on their perspectives on the use of Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) for sustainable transport systems, with a specific focus on the aviation and maritime sector. The culmination of the sessions all pointed to the innovative and pertinent measures the Greater Caribbean can incorporate into their systems and economies for a stronger, more resilient transport sector.
