Secretary General and T&T Foreign Minister Discuss ACS Role in Sustainable Development

Secretary General Rodolfo Sabonge and Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs of Trinidad and Tobago Dr. Amery Browne held an in-depth discussion on preparations by the ACS for the upcoming critical meeting of the Ministerial Council (the decision-making body) due to take place virtually on 27th May, 2021. They exchanged views on issues affecting ACS’ efforts to support Members, including Trinidad and Tobago, in meeting national development targets and the Sustainable Development Goals, most notably the COVID-19 pandemic and its socio-economic fallout. Minister Brown reaffirmed Trinidad and Tobago’s commitment to the ACS and the Secretary General undertook to continue efforts to meet the expectations of Members even under current challenging circumstances.
