Special Communiqué in appreciation of Secretary-General Alfonso Múnera Cavadía 7th Summit of the Association of Caribbean States Havana, Cuba, 3 June 2016 The Heads of State and Government of the Association of Caribbean States, Recalling Agreement No. 4/12 of the 17th Ordinary Meeting of the ACS Ministerial Council, held in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, on 10 February 2012, by means of which His Excellency Alfonso Múnera Cavadía was elected as ACS Secretary General for a four year term; Considering the vision and commitment that Amb. Alfonso Múnera Cavadía imprinted on his term at the helm of the ACS Secretariat; Recognizing that his determination in improving the Association’s work methods and in revitalizing the Secretariat have resulted in a strengthened ACS and a larger visibility for the Greater Caribbean region; Underscoring particularly his contributions to guiding the ACS towards the implementation of concrete projects in its priority areas and his efforts in revitalizing the Caribbean Sea Commission; 1. Thank and congratulate his Excellency Alfonso Múnera Cavadía for his commendable work at the helm of the Secretariat of the Association. 2. Wish him the greatest success in his future professional and personal endeavours.
