ACS Secretary-General Meets with Costa Rican Minister of Foreign Affairs

Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago — February 21, 2025 — The Secretary-General of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS), Noemí Espinoza Madrid, held a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Costa Rica, Dr. Arnoldo André Tinoco, in which they discussed strategies to strengthen regional cooperation and integration in the Greater Caribbean.
During the meeting, the Secretary-General outlined her vision to revitalize the ACS and highlighted Costa Rica's active role within the organization. She also underscored the joint efforts of the ACS Secretariat and the Presidency of the Council of Ministers to develop an agenda that contributes to the success of the upcoming Ministerial Meeting, scheduled for May 29, and the Summit, which will take place on May 30. Additionally, she reported on the organization of the International Cooperation Conference and the Business Forum, events that will be held within the framework of the Summit.
For his part, Minister André Tinoco expressed that Costa Rica, as co-host of the 3rd United Nations Ocean Conference, supports an active participation of the ACS in said event.
