Secretary General Múnera pays Courtesy Call to the Jamaican High Commissioner

Port of Spain (May 10, 2012) – The Secretary General of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS), Ambassador Alfonso Múnera Cavadía paid a courtesy call to Jamaica High Commissioner, Ms Sharon Saunders at the High Commision’s residence in Port of Spain.

 

Ms Saunders welcomed Secretary General Múnera and expressed her willingness to embrace this new era of change at the ACS. She affirmed Jamaica’s continued support to the work of the ACS in the Caribbean and the Greater Caribbean. Furthermore, Ms Saunders engaged Secretary General Múnera in light conversations on Jamaica’s culture of which he is familiar while working there as Ambassador of Colombia.

 

Jamaica is a member of the Association of Caribbean States, and currently holds the position of Vice Chairman of the Special Committee on Transport.
