The ACS extends its congratulations to the Republic of Panama

The Association of Caribbean States extends its congratulations to the Republic of Panama on two landmark dates that highlight its path to independence and the formation of its national identity.

November 3 commemorates Panama's 1903 separation from Colombia, a bold step towards self-governance that marked the beginning of the nation’s independent journey. Later, on November 28, Panama celebrates its 1821 independence from Spain, a momentous occasion that ended over 300 years of colonial rule.

The ACS also acknowledges Panama's active role within the organization, where it presently serves as the vice-chair of the Caribbean Sea Commission, demonstrating its commitment to regional leadership.
