Institutional Aspects of the Special Fund
The Fund is governed by the decisions taken by the Ministerial Council, whose task is to assess the effects that operations are having on the region every two years and to plan future activities, and the Council of National Representatives, which comprises Senior Officials of Member Countries and Associate Members of the ACS.
The Executive Board of the Council of National Representatives is composed of 5 members. The Secretary General of the Association is responsible for the administration of the Fund.
The Fund consists of resources contributed voluntarily by countries and institutions that are both members and non-members of the Association.
