Five Interns Complete Internship at ACS Secretariat

Five interns from the Greater Caribbean have successfully completed a 10-week virtual internship at the Association of Caribbean States and are ready to continue working for the sustainable development of the Greater Caribbean. The Directorate for Disaster Risk Reduction, Environment and the Caribbean Sea had the pleasure to be the host organisation for the five interns from the Caribbean Catastrophe Risk Insurance Facility (CCRIF). The interns from Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago contributed to the flagship Sandy Shorelines project; the Special Area Initiative; the Multi-Hazard Early Warning Service and the Harmonisation of Disaster and Climate Risk Management in the Greater Caribbean project.
CCRIF and the ACS maintain a quality relationship, having signed a Memorandum of Understanding in 2017, which has facilitated training for ACS staff, exchange of information and the internship programme.
