The Cooperation Catalogue of the Association of Caribbean States

The Cooperation Catalogue of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS) makes the best practices in SOUTH-SOUTH cooperation (SSC) available for the benefit of the international community. The Catalogue represents a coordinated effort in international cooperation, restoring and positioning the capacity for action of countries that have been traditionally recipients of aid, this time as providers of cooperation in the interest of sustainable development.
The Catalogue presents in total twenty (20) best practices offered by Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Honduras, Mexico and Panama, presented by country and in alignment with the SDG’s. As illustrated, the Catalogue covers a very wide range of thematic areas, diversifying the cooperation offered, and enhancing its scope.
The opening section provides a short review of how International Cooperation (SSC) is done, as well as the relevance of the creation of the ACS Cooperation Catalogue in the region. In the second section, the objectives are set out and addressed by the document, as well as the methodology used and implementation strategy. In the third section the twenty (20) best practices according to the SDG’s are considered by country and to conclude, the fourth section summarises the role of the ACS as a catalyst for cooperation.
