The Special Committee on Trade
Through the Work Programme, the Committee is mandated to address the following issues:
- The reduction and gradual elimination of Obstacles to trade and investment in the Greater Caribbean
- The promotion and facilitation of the discussion on Special and Differential Treatment for Small Economies in the Greater Caribbean
- The promotion and facilitation of trade relations in the Greater Caribbean
- The promotion and facilitation of international trade negotiations and the provision of training in trade-related matters.
The ACS hopes that, through work in these areas, region co-operation will improve, leading to greater competitiveness in the global market.
