About Bonaire (Netherlands)
Located in the Dutch Caribbean, Bonaire, together with Aruba and Curacao form a group known as the ABC islands. It is a small island in the Southern Caribbean with a population of 16,541 inhabitants. Like many of the other islands in the Caribbean, Bonaire is a popular tourist destination with 70,000 visitors each year which greatly contributes to the economy. Other developments in this sector of the country also include oil transference and salt production. Dutch is the official language of the country given that it is part of The Netherlands, however, languages such as English and Spanish are also spoken.
